Integrative, Compassionate, and Evidence-Based Therapy for Lasting Change

Therapy begins with connection. The relationship we build is the foundation for meaningful growth and transformation. My approach is deeply person-centered, starting with you: your experiences, challenges, and what truly matters in your life. Together, we explore practical and personalized ways to help you feel more at ease - not just cope, but thrive.

Therapy Approach: Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Beyond

My work is grounded primarily in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a research-backed, trauma-informed approach that helps you understand and work with the different parts of yourself—such as anxious, self-critical, or protective responses.

Rather than trying to eliminate these parts, IFS focuses on approaching them with curiosity and compassion. This allows space for greater calm, clarity, and internal flexibility, especially when longstanding patterns feel hard to shift.

A Holistic, Integrative Approach

While IFS is the foundation, I integrate other evidence-based approaches as needed, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support values-based change

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety and OCD

  • Mindfulness and self-compassion practices to strengthen emotional regulation

The goal is therapy that’s responsive to your life – not a rigid protocol or purely theoretical exercises.

Areas of Focus

This work emphasizes understanding root causes rather than managing symptoms alone. Therapy may involve:

  • Exploring why certain reactions or behaviors repeat

  • Supporting parts of you that feel stuck, overwhelmed, or protective

  • Developing flexibility in how you respond to stress or anxiety symptoms

  • Aligning daily life with what matters most to you

How the Work Unfolds

I work collaboratively and at a pace that prioritizes safety and trust. Therapy isn’t about forcing insight or change—it’s about creating the conditions where change can happen naturally and last.

Over time, this approach helps your internal system work with you rather than against you.

Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy & Integration in Colorado

Psychedelic therapy isn’t a shortcut—it’s a catalyst. When used safely and legally, in a structured therapeutic setting, psychedelics can help us access and heal parts of ourselves that traditional talk therapy alone may not reach.

When appropriate, I offer licensed psilocybin-assisted therapy and integration in accordance with Colorado’s Natural Medicine Act. This work is available to adults seeking support with depression, anxiety, trauma, or deeper personal exploration.

Psilocybin is not used as a standalone intervention or quick solution. The therapeutic process remains rooted in careful preparation, presence, and ongoing integration. The intention is to create a safe, supported space where protective patterns can soften, emotional material can emerge without overwhelm, and meaningful insight can be translated into everyday life.

In my work, psilocybin often helps quiet habitual self-criticism, reduce rigid defenses, and allow access to emotional parts that carry pain, fear, or grief. From this place, deeper unburdening and integration can occur – but the lasting change comes from the therapeutic relationship and the work that follows.

What Psilocybin Work Includes

  • Comprehensive assessment and preparation to support safety and readiness

  • Guided, clinically supported psilocybin sessions

  • Integration therapy focused on making sense of the experience and applying insights

  • Optional mindfulness, somatic awareness, and self-compassion practices

Psilocybin-assisted therapy can be especially helpful for individuals navigating treatment-resistant depression, complex trauma, or longstanding internal patterns that have been difficult to shift through other approaches.
